I beg to differ

Pupils are hopeless, nowadays!  I heard this expression over and over again and, up and then, I also feel annoyed, frustated and almost ready to give up. Sometimes I feel on the verge of a nervous breakdown with so many things to do and so little time to do them. Sometimes I just want to forget all the pupils and never teach a single word in my life! But, without realising, I seem to be teaching all the time...And, what's better, I seem to be learning with my pupils all the time. So, I beg to differ.

Give pupils something to believe in, some sort of hope, and they are ready to absorve your teachings. And you, teacher, are ready to forget all your brain-fag. Suddenly you are not dog-tired: you are alive and kicking again. Ready to start all over again: as many times as needed.
