“When you buy goods, the law gives you certain rights as a consumer. The goods must:
• be of a satisfactory quality. This means that the goods should be free of any faults and correspond to the given description, price and other types of information on the label.
• be fit for the purpose. This means that you must be able to use them for the expected purposes.
• match their description. This means that the verbal description of the goods should be accurate and also match their sample.”

“The Europa Diary, published by the European Comission, is a school diary aimed at students between the ages of 15 and 18. Over 1million copies have been used by 9,000 schools across the EU. Its aim is to help young people become more aware of their rights, increasing their awareness and enabling them to make more informed decisions as consumers. It is translated into 20 languages and has been adapted to national legislation and culture in all European Union countries!
